my little rectangle...

...at 8:30am.

It's the pre-school carpool! Thankfully, I only have to do this once a week. Pre-schoolers can be quite entertaining, though. Especially when the conversation turns to how many "pieces of sky" there are, or why "guwls are silly and boys are yucky." Actually, these kids are all GREAT, and I really do like 'em all a lot! We are quite a sight crossing the parking lot because I make 'em all hold hands.

...and at 9:15am.

Whew, now it's just "Mommy-A" time.

...and 3:15pm.

We're off to ballet. It's quite a day. I forgot to grab my camera for the 1:30pm and 2:30pm shots. You'd have seen A snuggling her blankie on the way to pick everyone up, and bunch of kids enraptured with "Super Why" via podcast on the drive back.

  1. Wow! You sound so busy and you're doing all these inspiring things- painting, photography, taking the kids to the beach! I am SO impressed! You are one very talented woman. I miss seeing you on a regular basis. Don't you need a little trip to DE and the Philly area for a little vacation?:)
    Love you!

  2. This is really clever, a photo through the side mirror! Sometimes you get to hear the most entertaining conversations while car pooling!

  3. Oh my word! I am so impressed with you. First...the pictures are totally awesome and creative. You have some amazing focus for using a lens with mirrors! Phew...

Now...for the car full of preschoolers. You must be saint, because I am not sure I could do it even just once a week. Haha.

  4. So cute! Dare I say, especially my girls? ;) Although E looks like she may be sulking. So what else is new?

I don't make them hold hands anymore. I always park around the end of the building (by the playground) so we don't have to cross the parking lot. It's much less nerve-wracking for me. And as a bonus, I drive around the back of the building when I leave and don't have to negotiate the traffic.

I haven't been getting the interesting conversations since discovering audio books. I think I'll take the peace and quiet that the books give me, and sacrifice the occasional amusement!

  14. Now, THAT is thinking "out of the box", to get the rectangle, that is. I love your idea, and the finished product is very, very nice. ML

  15. Great ideas for photos! I always got a kick out of driving on preschool field trips--they say the cutest things at that age. Buckling in all those carseats was always so nerve wracking, though.
