happy anniversary!
It's our anniversary today! Eight years. We still look like kids, but we're really not. We're thirty-somethings. And people still ask me if my mom is home--well that actually happened when I was in my late twenty's. My most recent funny age-related story happened last fall at the grocery store. We were just establishing our routine of shopping and getting A the free bakery cookie. On the third week, the grey-haired baker who had been helping us finally pulled me aside. "Hey, we've been having a debate (pointing to his baker cohort), and he thinks you're 15, but I said 22, who is right?" Twenty-two, I could see, but 15?!? Wow, that was shocking! Anyway, happy anniversary, David! We're going to look great when we're 50! I love you!

ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to the looking young thing. I'm 36 and am just starting to really enjoy it. When I turned 21 my mom took me to vegas and the pit boss was letting a table accross the way bet on my age. HA!
